Tixi Zhao- Talking colour

Those oil paintings are made of oil sticks. The inspiration I have from Cornwall when I am hiking behind the sea. From my drawing you can feel the wave is huge, and the cloud is changeable. I like to take some pictures to remember it, even if I always think that is not enough, because people living in the Internet era, people try to make things faster, we almost forgot being slow, take a seat with a pan draw something without digital equipment. I was that kind of person before, I am shy and anxious about drawing in public, one of the reasons is I was not an art student before, so I do not have such experience, however, I have big progress at last summer vacation. I joined in a drawing short course. They give me an experience which I never had. 

Those Gel printings are made with mixed media. Some colour is acrylic and gloss gel, and some are not just used for paper, so after that I am thinking about clothes. For this kind of painting, I don’t aurally use too much time to draw. The most difficult thing is you cannot imagine what is happening, as a result, I have to practice a lot, so I can make some printing looks great. On the other hand, the texture is hard to reach. I need to find different texture papers for my gel printing. The first printing is the best one to show those mixed colours, and the second one I add silk to give the unique pattern for this painting.
